Fred's trip to the dentist

The more miserable you make me,
The more you charge.
Making my mouth feel extremely large.

Still you twist and pull and push.
Oh, oh, pain, so bad
You’d better stop before I get mad.

Finally it ends; I stumble to the desk
Only to get the final stab
Writing a check while my blood I dab.

“I can fill that space,” you say.
Then you smile and tell me the rest.
Five thousand dollars! You surely do jest.

Did I really come here on my very own?
To suffer this way
And then have to pay?

Witty, humorous and yet, meaningful. I am fortunate in that I rarely need dental work anymore and my dentist is one of the most gentle men I know. Still, I sure do empathize with you, Lark. By the way, I love your photo on your bio page. Love and best wishes,

The pain is one we all know. In LA, I had the most wonderful dentist. Now, not so much. And you're right about the $$$ too! Nifty and original work, Lark!

it was dark and deep.

I have to look forward going to an oral surgeon sometime soon, as I like to sleep when they pull two more of my precious few teeth left, but its my own fault, never took care of them hence they are practically falling out on their own...I just hope to have dentures as soon as possible...I am tired of gumming my food...Hey, Happy New Year, young lady...-e-
