There’s no more humor in the world…

Since there is no more humor in the world this may not be as such...

 A writer needs his muse,

Well I finally found it again,

It kind of ran into me in a crowd,

And I recognized it as it wasn’t wearing a mask,

I had to take him aside and tell him of that task…

 

But in the process of finding my muse,

I lost my funny bone so no more humor is the news,

I’m not the only one, as humor has become hard to find,

Ever since I lost my dog, my humor has gone by the wayside…

 

So please bear with this humorless old fart,

In front of my muse I won’t put the cart,

I’ll try to entertain, but strain to write from the heart,

So of my humor I will try to of it, kick start.

i agree with you Ed it's tough times for humor, but i still look for a laugh. politics is a joke in itself. keep going friend you'll get your feet under yourself again i've had some toughies recently myself--hang in there.

Losing your dog is a tough road to go down
without ripping a few masks and kicking a few asses.
Keep on keepin'on and you'll come out of it.

Humor is the best medicine. So hurry up! You got a ways to catch up with the rest of us laughing our asses off at the way that people are when it comes to managing their lives in a pandemic, relying on politicians rather than their own resources.

It's a mad, mad, mad world and there's lots of humor, sarcasm, and satire to indulge in. I'm indulging already just reading your boring piece. Just what were you boring anyway? ;-)
