Skid Marks

They remained for many weeks as place and evidence of a drier gone wrong. How wrong and why would be known after tests and estimates made official by authorities. Until then all we knew was that our fried was dead, and we feared for no apparent reason. His wrecked car was found over 100 feet down, having flown over the edge at high sped; his seat belt clamped in place. But, what had made him hit and hold on the breaks for several yards, and why didn't the vehicle stop along the way?

The local police continued its probe, finding only an old bicycle front fender down near the auto. It was sent to a shop with the request for its age, make and a request to notify should a customer bring in a unit without the fender. Three weeks later a call came fitting the situation. The owner was known by the man at the shop owner.

Detectives went to question that man, noticing a nervous young man in his mid-twenties. A search warrant was obtained and during that a Halloween costume was located with rips and torn parts to witch the man had no expatiation. The costume was his and in the same box was a photo of him riding the bicycle while wearing the costume.

The suspect admitted that he knew the deceased, and confirmed that he had dated the woman to whom our friend was to marry in a few weeks. Further questioning about a confession that he had built a bicycle rig with a ardboard man wearing the costume which he had pushed into the path of our friend's car.

As they took him away, I would remhber the skid marks for a lllifetiime.

Scary, Frightening, sad. By the sound of it, the young man didn't like your friend and wished him harm so the young man could have the girl your friend was supposed to marry.

What is also sad too is, young people throw their lives away like this all the time, without regard for the consequences. As Peter, Paul & Mary said in their song...'Oh when will they ever learn, when will they ever learn?" I guess, no I hope, that young people will finally wake up one day and see that being decent is the best way to be. Thank you for sharing, Bill.

May the Lord Bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and walk by your side. With love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister Barbie.

I'm moved by this tale, Bill, and think it should be
posted on the front page of your local newspaper, or
the OpEd Page, or at least a letter to the editor.
Your friend deserves no less. -gene.
