Monseigneur Don Ron, nothing is certain about the collision course of the Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies, not anyway as the fast irreversible melting polar caps. As Aurélien Barrau has recently warned us in his "English" interview with local American TV, it's not a matter of centuries but decades before temperatures rise and practically all major urban shorelands be submerged. The galaxies can linger eons away through vast expanses of space, and there might only occur partial spasmodic explosions, not one ogre devouring the other, and who knows a merger could take place and produce a new galaxy: the Andro-Milky-Meda-Way!!! In the meantime, some meteorite might slip through our defensive surveillance systems and blow us all to Kingdom come!!! Like the ones that wiped out the dinasaurs but - damn-it - not the rest of the living creatures!!! Barrau warns in astrophysical terms of our having reached the critical "crash" moment already and demands immediate action - his words falling on deaf political ears far too occupied with re-election, of course!
Ninety percent of the population is ill born in public or private schools do not teach them very much. But you have the wisdom of the ages from all of your studies. Especially noting that Andromeda is on a course to destroy the Milky Way.
The universe is very violent, and so are we. Why it's so hard to do anything peacefully when our leaders get rich by going to war and using the ignorant population as ammunition for their grand plans of worldwide conquest that usually ends up with their own death in some form of violent manner.
