The "good karma" of post-WWII America, for instance, could have avoided the greatest disaster in human lives (women and children, the old and the decrepit, the sick in mind and the blind, the food-providing animals and the joyously-singing birds, not to mention pregnant women, animals, birds and insects about to bring forth their young...) during the few extended seconds of HELL-on-Earth at Hiroshima (and to repeat the "karmic action" at Nagasaki a little later) if they had had wanted to avoid Man's inhumanity to Man and all blameless creatures by inviting Tojo and his needlessly violent clan to a demonstration of Nuclear Power at some deserted Pacific Isle. Why in our Civil War, the South chose Dixie describing their white only, slave labor created, idyllic lifestyle as their anthem. While the North, more pragmatic, chose The Battle Hymn of the Republic with its fiery lines… "He has loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword…" to help rally the troops having to fight their own brothers in the South. Sometimes, eye to eye with bayonets.
