I'm glad that finally, some downpour of rain has hit Australia, ending the seemingly neverending bushfires. So sorry for those that have lost their lives - both humans and the little animals.

Even if they survived, and it is estimated that 1 billion animals, not including birds, reptiles and insects have already died. With the remaining habitat badly damaged or destroyed altogether, it will take a few years for the habitat to return and for the remaining animals to reproduce enough to recover some of what is lost.

The trouble is, drought and fires of this magnitude may continue for a very long time into the future even with drastic measures taken to stop fossil fuel emissions today.

To all the climate deniers: This is what happens when we pollute the atmosphere with carbon dioxide levels beyond scientific cautions. Stop denying what your eyes can see! It is only going to get worse. Look at the devastation! Look at the beautiful creatures that are falling victim to our folly. Where is your humanity? Where is your concern for all life forms? Where is your backbone to help bring about change?

A major concern, nowadays, especially with the wildfires plaguing the nation.
