Ethereal Melody

To dream awhile I’ll take the chance
On missing moments spent in sleep…
To captivate my soul with thoughts
That run like rivers of the deep.

I lay beneath the charms of night
So subtle in her elegance…
Where jewel-studded teardrops dare
To light the heavens with their dance.

Beyond the scope of daylight hours
I feel the solace of the dark…
Embracing moon-beam’s clarity,
Enraptured by her beauty stark.

Caressed by whispers of the breeze
That sing in midnight ecstasy…
I leave the worries of the day
To rest in nature’s harmony.

Where leaves of wisdom sway within
The breeze of cherubs passing by…
A symphony within their wings
Sings softly ‘neath the velvet sky.

These moments wake the inner eye
While peering through this universe…
Unfettering the stagnant mind
To wash away depression’s curse.
