Why not some Whimsy

When the Monkey Hit the Moon The elephants trumpeted laughter When the monkey hit the moon The cheetahs just ran faster When the monkey hit the moon The hippos wallowed in silence Farting bubbles that rose like balloons The gorillas started to slapstick When the monkey hit the moon The giraffes were dancing in circles With all the local baboons Till one of them fell But it all ended well When the monkey hit the moon Copyright 2009 Patrick A Granfors

Illustrations for a children's book are popping in my head after reading this, Pat. Seriously, this would make an excellent picture book.

Hi Patrick, I like whimsey, especially the part of farting bubbles that rose like balloons... how many can accomplish that!? Only hippos, I guess... :] thank you for sharing some whimsey....
