One man's view

Poem Artwork

Oh to have time’s window

To watch them draw their art

Animals and symbols

I don’t know where to start

I am not an archeologist

Not sure just what they drew

But I’ll take a stab at it anyway

To try and interpret them for you

Overall the scene looks like

A town viewed from the air

With roads and parks and driveways

Surveyed without much care

I see a great big five legged dog

Missing tail I don’t know why

It has a big bright nose that matches

What appears to be one big eye

On his shoulders rests his burden

A sun with planets numbering ten

Representing our old solar system

The way it existed way back then

It looks like someone stole a planet

I have no idea how or why

Maybe the big bird off to the left

Was sent as an alien spy

The squarish box next to big bird

Looks like a credit card receipt

Is it possible that the some alien

Was a real estate dead beat

And maybe the Universal Bank

Foreclosed on a soured deal

Was our tenth planet repossessed

At a price literally a steal

The greed goes back for eons

I think the artists got it right

The only thing I can’t figure out

Is how bankers sleep at night

Last week I was down in Picketwire Canyon reading petroglyphs! I love trying to figure out the lives of those who drew them. As for bankers, our society thrives on them.

Peace,
Dayvid

Cleverly creative.

On mattresses stuffed with our money.

Bankers can sleep at night because they're all in bed with each other...as for art, a petroglyph was carved from reality and stood for something spiritual and sacred...photo is magnificent...spear chuckers of yesteryear would have skewered the rats and fed them to the dogs...

Love,
Sage

I think the tenth planet was Tiamat. It existed where the asteroid belt is today and was destroyed many eons ago.

I've often sat and pondered these ancient rock petroglyphs up in the great northwood and in the southwest. Makes one realize man has always been searching for answers to many things.

Imaginative and well done, Patrick.

You certainly are in deep thought, allowing the imagination to leave the box. I wonder how a few sleep, not just bankers, but insurance brokers too...

Be always safe,
Karen

Or maybe these animals and symbols are simply chalk drawings by a bunch of kids that got tired of jumping rope or shooting marbles.

Clever, apt, timely, and very meaningful. Thank you, Patrick. Our bankers are not different from yours. Surprise! Surprise! LOL! Love and peace,

Regis
