I wrote this for Word Challenge 2 At Spirit Musings “Words” obsidian, sluggish, reed, fields, gauze, translucent, bevy, survey, golden, barge *~~~~~~~~~~ 1 “Power Of Nature” Once The playground of many Fields and heaven Gauze… Melancholic view Bevy of larks Survey of high priority Golden horizons now gone Not translucent anymore** As a barge of obsidian Sluggish volcano glass Slowly covers up reed’ Once again The power of nature Has spoken *~~~* 11 And with the help of that little demon of mine “Chuck” “Larks Ascent” A bevy of larks Fly as if disturbed From reed’ fields By the rumble Of a distant volcano With high priority They survey Contours of translucent earth Coursing the sky With the steadied ease Of a sluggish barge Steering Between sun And obsidian clouds As if avoiding A butterfly hunter’ gauze Copyright © 2005 Tinka Boukes
