has her moaning as footfalls echo down the hall.
Other sisters, dainty, with slippers of spun glass
make Ruthie Mae feel dumpy and a little crass
but of the Cheney females she has the best as_!

Shoes two too small affect one's personality,
Ruth went from happy, friendly to being grumpy.
Along with brother, Richard, Ruth tried hard to hide.
When she wears the right sized shoes her heart swells in pride.
Laughter is a peeling and men flock to her side.

When Ruth began dating out came those too small shoes.
If she flops, the ground will quake … maybe make the news.
Nasty thoughts are rising, she is about to blow.
Her temper rages deep within … some say it glows.
Ruth rivals St. Helens—folk see her volcano!

As a bride wearing white, high heels two sizes small,
Ruth tripped going down the aisle, most guests hit the wall.
Her groom, doomed, zoomed, through the chapel like a rocket.
Where he went--a puzzle; he hasn't been found yet.
Some theorize he's living high on a comet.

Ruth won't live in forests, is no kin to Big Foot
still … if she stands one place long, Ruth tends to take root.
She's not running for election and is very shy.
Single men are clearly nuts going up to say, 'Hi'.
