After an hour of waiting,
in a room with coughing and fever,
my number was called … I was stalled.
Doc wore no smile contemplating
symptoms … belated endeavor …
by his language I was awed.
Then, just as if we were dating,
his hands roamed like an eager beaver.
Are such private searches outlawed?
“Doc,” his nurse, breathless, came flying,
“the ranting hippo with the shiver
fell off of the table, then bawled:
‘Came only to do constructing …
you seized my pants and broke my lever!’”
Doc, smiling, said, “Good thing t’was stalled!”
i HATE doctor's offices. they make you wait a million years, then you go in--five seconds later, you're outta there, then you get his bill--$500.00 for WHAT??? no wonder they call it medical practice--they ain't got it right yet
