Stopped by the Ocean Today…

Just to say hi to Mom Ocean, this day, I did stop,

On a sand dune I did stand atop,

And I have to just say,

She was so beautiful, so calm, reflecting the suns rays,

With a slight chop, white caps from a Sou’east wind…

Underneath her beauty, lurks destructive force,

A storm on its way, snow predicted this night, of course,

Hopefully, yes it just might,

Be our last snowstorm, to cover the beach with snow,

Shouldn’t say, as it could cause some to fright…

A lone surfer, does look for waves,

Very few, hardly more than a short ride,

But any ride, for him, in late winter,

Will be a good ride, whether the waves are good or not…

So Mom Ocean says hi and sends her regards,

To those of you that miss her, or have never seen her,

She is so comforting, so blue, so compassionate, it seems on cue…
