Nature, or the end all of Nature, A MUST READ FOR OUR FUTURE!

Poem Artwork

Water level rising,

Global warming the problem,

Up a degree in the last hundred years,

Not much it seems, but the ice caps are melting,

Maybe a special device can be made and marketed by Sears?

The red in the pic, more water for Florida’s alligators to roam,

No more Miami, no Ft Lauderdale and NASA will have to find a new home,

Coastal cities all over the globe will have to find new ways to live,

Maybe an underwater dome, or homes that float on the foam,

Either way it could get mighty wet, NJ already a wetland, let us just say shalom…

The atmosphere is warming,

The seas are storming,

All brought about by Mom Natures fervent warnings,

Man must fix his world, or be inundated by its changes,

He brought this on, with his use of fossil fuels, and strip mining of the ranges…

Some may call this poem nice; some may think it just a write,

But those that are in the know; will see it as altogether right,

Our chances of survival, our chances of seeing our futures, are quite slight,

Could happen in a century or ten centuries, but it WILL happen,

Man has truly brought on this future blight,

Where our oceans will rise, twenty feet in height,

Enough to make New York City a city of fish,

Forget terrorism, this is an actual future, one that is not very bright…

scary stuff, this global warming--no wonder weather patterns are shifting, it's all mankind's fault

perhaps the damage is permanent, but maybe we can change our habits and preserve what little we have left...before it is too late???

powerful, needed write--thank you for enlightening us

(((HUGS))) and love, karla. :)

More true than folks want to admit, I'm afraid. It can happen and most likely will as time passes. Reminds me of a book I once read, "ICE" . . . I'm sure there's a group somewhere, someplace all ready for action (or the lack thereof). Makes one think--good job, Ed.
Later . . . b

Terrorforming Your Environment by RickthePoetWarrior

Never to leave well enough alone our attempts at managing our society, culture, and environment are recycled, re-used, and just generally regurgitated
