And you thought your job was the worst…( ED’s CHALLENGE)


 


Some of us feel our job is the worst,


Just think how it would be if you were sampling liverwurst,


All day long, eating the same thing, developing a gigantic thirst,


Hopefully, eventually you will be paid, yes reimbursed…


 


Picking up other people’s trash,


Has to eventually make you develop a rash,


Well paid you would be, sometimes even finding some cash,


Better for me if I were to do so and find someone’s stash…


 


Proctology examination technician, examining peoples butt condition,


With a flashlight and rubber gloves taking the ultimate expedition,


To continue this mission, must take more than an appropriate ambition,


Better I would think to grow up and become a bad politician…


 


Sewer plant diver, now that must be the worst job description,


Swimming in others poop all day, cleaning the tanks, with little thanks,


And absolutely no recognition…

Ed!!!!! I think I can meet your challenge.....here goes.....

There once was a man from the Cold North
Ed Matlack's the name, poetry was the game
Challenge us he did, because really he's just a big kid
To write about the worst job there is
After searching and scouring the job I did find
Would have to be trying to sort out Ed's mind!!

Now you KNOW that I'm just teasing you!!!! But I figured you could handle a little teasing as much as you dish out!!!

The jobs you mentioned in your poem really do make me appreciate my days a lot more, that's for certain.

Refill that ink well Mr. Matlack and feed Rufuz, because your mind is sure to erupt with more wonderful, interesting and fun poetry!!

i've gotta find that story on the internet about the world's worst job--it's hysterical! i'll post it as my answer (but it's not mine).

my worst job? nothing compared to many others--i've had bad days and some worst days, but for the most part, i'm glad TO be working!

Many days driving into work I think how bad my job is but then I will see something and think wow it could be doing that job. Guess like old saying grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence,,

I've always wanted to be a sewer plant diver, ever since I was a little kid crawling around in the sewers in the big city. I have my diving certificate, too. Are there any openings in New Jersey?

Okay I agree and that is why I said Survivor The Peace Series would probably go tops a day before they would all be screaming at each other. I wonder is some enterprising productor would care to do one on both of our ideas.
