Cat food…

What can I say; I was hungry?

Mom fed me, but that was at three,

Since then the only thing I could eat,

Was this black furry thing I found in the yard,

If mommy would have fed me more,

I wouldn’t have bitten down so hard…

It surely does not taste too bad,

But yikes it sure does seem awfully mad,

It did scream and hiss till I let it go,

Now to eat I ain’t got no mo’…

But here comes mommy,

With that little black furry thing in her arms,

Thank you mommy for bringing it back,

It surely did taste better than the grass,

Especially after I had sat on it and passed…
