Wolves are so beautiful and left to their own domain, we can view them in harmony. I love to watch the cubs play, they are so much like our little domesticated puppys, but the fear of the bite of their mother is more than enought to get me to keep my distance. Nice write, Ed

A marvelous post, Ed, and wolves truly do believe in the family unit, and in teaching and protecting their young. I think it's truly a shame that they now face possible extinction in the near future since we have left them little space to roam, and taken most of the protections away from them.

I am also extremely grateful that I have seen and heard both a northern timber wolf and a southwestern Mexican wolf, but their sightings and sounds are much too few and far between now.

Very well done and if you don't disturb them they may just adopt you. Some wolves will the ones that understand them. They are truly remarkable creatures.

Great write. The wolf, so powerful in mythology, Christianity, and to the Native Americans. The best pet I ever had was a german shepard/wolf cross. Heck of an animal, heck of a pet, heck of a poem...
