A Cold Memory…

The heat is stifling,

With you I am not trifling,

This way for a few more days,

Then the humidity will break or so they says…

The snow was 2 foot,

Bright white it was, not dark as soot,

Rufuz loved to play & bury himself,

At that time, I just wanted the heat back put…

Not long will it be before again we are under the snow buried,

I am not looking forward to that time; I am in no hurry,

Rufuz though does love it, as he is so very furry,

Think I will start to worry,

When I see from the sky that very first flurry…

Remember once more,

Blowing snow, windy conditions, white out,

To stock up, running to the store,

No green trees, nor grass,

Only one color Nature does lend us for décor…

Sitting in the north I have come to realize something......we have Spring, Spring, Fall and then Winter............Maybe its not so bad to be away from the heat that makes you dream of winter :-) Wonderful write.

Ed,

Never satisfied, are you? Too hot. Too cold. Too dry. Too wet. Sound like me!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Enjoyed this one, though...if we didn't have the weather to bitch about, what would we do? (Don't answer that.)

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :)

You want some 100 degree temps with about 96 per cent humidity? :)

I know how hard you get hit down the shore. But Jerry Bolton has it right. I'm bitching in the heat and the cold. April and October are pretty good, though.

Brrrr! Do I get the chill from this picture!

Sometimes we always wonder why the dogs can walk in the snow with their bare-feet and they don't even feel the cold.

Good write Ed!

Oh my! Got the memory of a Syracuse (NY) chill running through my bones reading this one, Ed! Long "safe" in my southern California vantage point, I much enjoyed being dragged back there! Great picture-- one does keep in shape during snow-removal season...
Best,
Carolyn

The chill from this write froze my thoughts. Southern heat and humidity for me...why heck...it was only 124 degrees today on the floor of the factory where I work...only 90 outside...you can see why I hate the cold...I did though enjoy your splendid reflection ED.
