Poem Artwork

Rough it has been,

Though rougher I have seen,

Thrown upon the beach mans trash obscene,

Nature and ocean, a well-oiled machine…

Warmer than the air,

October’s ocean never shows despair,

She continues her life without from man repair,

All I can offer for her is a most fervent prayer…

To the gods on high,

Please accept this request,

Allow mother ocean to continue on unstressed,

Allowing as well her inhabitants to be eternally blessed…

Ed,

Sad that mankind is destroying the oceanfront with trash. It's not just in October...I hope we learn something from your powerful write.

well done.

when i walk by the bay everyday it angers me the amount of trash that's just thrown there. because the park area there is our city's pride & joy they clean it every day and try to keep it up, but people just keep trsashing it. there are trash cans everywhere, but only a few feet from them people just throw stuff on the ground. lazy bastards. it's made me very concious of my cigarette butts.

I really enjoyed this poem, and your perspective of the October ocean. I think your poem goes deeper than it appears at first glance, and deserves at least three reads to get all that you have enhanced. Great work! I like your style and am adding you to my tracker.
Thanks,
B.J.
