The sea, vast and wild as it is, bears thus the waste and wrecks of human art to its remotest shore. There is no telling what it may not vomit up. Quote attributed to Henry David Thoreau
Tis’ part and parcel of the sea,
As I am, as I do most certainly be,
The sea is in my blood, this you can see,
Salt water in my veins, blue as can be…
Her beaches do encircle my home,
Marsh land & salt water bays to the west,
Sparkling saline Atlantic ocean to the east,
Not much would it take, I’m afraid,
For mother ocean to reclaim my town,
That would be the only reason for me with Nature, to frown…
Though the summer does bring on the polluting throngs,
Still the ocean and beach does to me belong,
I walk amongst the multitudes,
Thinking to myself how can they be so rude…?
Their waste left for mother Nature to clean,
Though my home town does to a degree preen,
Each day they do return, to re-ruin the scene,
Sorry if I herein complain, I find it to be more than a little obscene…
I walk amongst the multitudes,
Thinking to myself how can they be so rude…?
I wonder that every single day as I wander here and there, and see how truly callous mankind truly is. And I hope your Mom Ocean can keep vomiting up all the human waste, because if she can't, I fear our callous actions may kill her soon.

I am surprised youse guys would even let the foreigners come there, could it have anything to do with money, Ed? I do agree that basically we are all a bunch of inconsiderate slobs, however.
I hope you tell them too! I hate when I see them leaving garbage on the beach or letting kids throw stuff around. soon you'll have the throngs to put up with, good old summer is on its way;-)
