Poem Artwork

Strikes fear,

More so than when clear,

Tis’ fog only my dear,

Close to clouds or near…

Used to elicit fearsome views,

Grayish in color, not many hues,

Gives to some the seasonal blues,

For some a reason to bemuse…

Lights refract,

Of time hard to keep track,

Easier it is to hide amongst,

More fear we feel at night,

When fog does mix with of night the black…

I know that of which you write, Sir Ed. Here on the mountain, the fog (actually clouds) appears so suddenly it's quite scary. Thank you. Love and peace,

Regis

Growing up in Southern California, the fog would roll in through the canyons from the ocean and give us what we called touley-fog. If we should have that at night we would often go up into the hills and watch for "ghosts" slipping through the hazy mist. Thanks for the flashbacks, Ed. Fog is a rarity here in Albuquerque.

Take care,

Sherry

I feel the mist upon my face...the chill and the looming mystery. I couldn't have my senses perked if your words didn't cause them to stand.
Excellent.

I've seen many a scene like the above out on the lonesome highway - especially just after dawn - very very eerie - and another fine poem and fabulous picture, my friend.
