Poem Artwork

Just enough to cover the grass,

Just enough to remind, alas,

Already enough to miss its passing,

Did I last winter bitch about its lasting…?

Mostly rain,

My night at work filled with pain,

My leg throbbing from works strain,

Guess it will be my life’s bane…

Not enough though for Rufuz to notice,

A thirty percent chance, though it may kill the lotus,

The flower, of course, not the car,

Still though twas nice to see from afar,

Snow may be limited in late March,

What could grow I suppose would be a Siberian larch…

Funny and enchating feel with this poem. I'm assuming it is a dusting of snow. It's a last call for nature's winter. It's also a power play from mother nature to let us still know whose in charge.
I hope your leg gets to feeling better. Hugs to Rufus.

It is very Spring here, Ed. My lettuce is sprouting and my flowers are filled with leaves. Even my ornamental grasses are bushy and green, roses covered in leaves with tiny tight blossoms waiting to unfold. I am still hoping for more rain, but at the moment there is none in our forcast...so I will enjoy the birth of Spring and be happy to bask in the bright, warm sunshine.
Take care,
Sherry

A wonderful well-described piece, Ed!

It rained all day over here in Toronto, Canada yesterday, even though the weather was quite mild all day. It's the dampness in the air that makes our bones ache.

My head can tell the weather. Whenever there's a storm approaching, I always get the migrane headaches. We are our very own best weather reporters....:)

Hope the weather improves there for you soon.

I know how frustrating it can be to want the snow to stop after dealing with it all winter. I remember last year when I was at work, and it snowed on Easter Sunday; big, fat flakes, too! Crazy weather! (This year, we didn't see much in the way of rain or snow; we are in the throes of a drought situation; the rains recently have helped a lot, but we need more! Much more!) Very well expressed; hope your pains go away soon!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. ;D

Ed, enough is enough. There is a time and a season for everything and for me, the winter should be past...but noooo way, just look still what I am paying for natural gas.
