Poem Artwork

The rain is falling oh so loud,

Pelting the roof, but we withstand it proud,

A cool fifty degree wind does with it come,

Windows closed against what should not be a chill…

The dog wants out, though does dislike the wet,

He stands as if to say, make it go away,

Sorry my buddy, I may be to you god,

But in reality my powers to change things,

Are nothing more than a façade…

Both we are ready to celebrate the day,

Time off to go out for rides and play,

Enjoying, no matter what Nature does offer,

Rain, snow, cold or ole sol’s warming rays…
