Ah, to go home and stay,

Ah, to go home and play,

Ah, to go home and live for today,

Ah, to go home and never again stray…

To sit on my porch, observing the sunrise,

On the beach as well where I was baptized,

On the beach as this time the only other eyes,

Are those of the gulls, up at first light,

To fly towards the rising sun, in Sea Isle skies…

Oh how I do miss my beach,

Though it is not out of my reach,

Still to live within distance of walking,

Gawking I would do at the seagulls squawking…

To walk the beach unnoticed,

On a beach in winter that’s just about the remotest,

In summer too, I find solace & solitude,

In the early morning hours, no humans acting most rude…

This was a wonderful, short trip, redirecting our thoughts from the daily troubles to the peaceful moments we all cherish.

A marvelous picture, and a marvelous piece, my friend. I hope to sit on my porch at the lake, very very soon.

This brought back fond memories for me when I could get to the beaches in Ontario. Thanks!

I clipped the pic;-) The poem is lovely too, and shows how blessed you are to be in such a grand location!
