Nature...?

Poem Artwork

The sea & I know each other well,

On a day of fog I should the sea tell,

This day I should on land hunt for a shell,

In the distance I hear the fog horn,

From the deck of my boat I answer with a bell…

Most boats do stay tied up and safe,

But my boat and I act as if a waif,

Lost & orphaned by the rest,

Plowing through sea’s that do crest…

To the fishing grounds we run with all due speed,

To hell with the fog, I know I will succeed,

I will be there first, when the fog does lift,

So the others may of me be a bit miffed,

The nets are out, my boat & I adrift…

Too cold. Too wet. Too hot. Too dry. Now, too foggy? Yipe--and I thought Texas had extreme weather! Somebody do a makeover, QUICK! LOL Seriously, Ed: the fog can conceal many dangers, and you capture some of them vividly in verse; well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I can almost smell the sea, feel the mist from the fog on my cheeks, and hear the bells on the buoys as you pass. Excellent, Ed, a delight to read.
Love,
CJ
