Visitation by a Nor'easter...

Poem Artwork

Violent approach,

The beaches shudder in fear,

Shore birds go to their place to hide,

Mans world readies itself for a windy ride…

Erosion personified,

Taking back what Nature has previously given,

To the gods does a storm only confide,

The beaches do in the end take it all in stride…

Cleanup by man made machines,

The beaches by Nature are nice and clean,

But man has to put in his two bits,

In the end, the storm uses up its supply of natural caffeine…

Yes, Ed! Here in New Hampshire, we're stocking up and battening down the hatches to get ready for the darn thing. Supposed to be a real wing-dinger, nothing like it for the past twenty years, or so they say ... Great poem!

CJ

"...the storm uses up its supply of caffeine..." what a clever way to describe a storm dying after creating havoc along the coast.
Those that got the brunt on high sea aren't saying thank-you.
From an old salty one.
