Finally, some rain does fall…

Our creek of late has been only mud,


Without water, its life giving blood,


A major thunderstorm has upon us come,


In several minutes of rain, already we have a flood…


 


The grass turned brown,


Dust had been our ground,


Flowers have been dyin’,


I ain’t herein lyin’…


 


With this pounding rain,


I see the one leak in my home that does remain,


Damned if I can find it to fix the thing,


Been tryin’ since this past spring…

Nothing like a strong rain after a dry spell! Here we have been experincing a heat wave.........I moved to get away from that type of heat but it followed me. We too had thunderstorms last night :-)

Imagery was brilliant. I felt the woes of the lack of rain. Hope it pours buckets. Returning the flowers to bloom. Find and fix that leak.
