A New Camper Out for a Stroll…

The whole campground was out following this guy around, but none of us had a clue as to with him what to do...

Poem Artwork

Who knows of his site,

Is he hitched & had a fight,

So out for a stroll he did at night,

Rufuz chased him just looking to play,

Welcomed him to the campground he did quite polite…

His name is Emu,

Quite a striking fellow with his head blue,

If he could have, out of this place he would have flew,

Wish how to capture and help him we only knew…

That was this Sunday past,

Hope a meal he was not made, not a repast,

He must have truly escaped from a local farm,

Though I got to admit, in this campground he did create quite an alarm…

Rufuz surely has good experiences with these kind of things. He sees everything and anything. Let him live it up wherever he goes. He has to check things out to see if they really are there or in his mind. How's Rufuz, is he dreaming right now/

Good thing Rufuz wasn't kicked with one of those legs: hear they're quite aggressive when provoked! Well done, glad y'all are safe.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I ran into an emu while driving a country road in the farmland of Arkansas...of all places. Found out he escaped from a farm ten mile away and also found out how lucky I was to have allowed him to stay where he was. The farmer came to get him and another of this roaming adventure of a pair of rogue Emus. Their legs and feet can kill you just like the ostrich. Interesting that your emu wandered into camp. What happened afterwards?
Love,
Susan

That's Ernie Emu, one of my east coast informants. I asked him to check up on you, but I told him you'd give him a meal. Now go find him, and make him some breakfast. D.W.

Hey bro, they have a helluva kick. Could be deadly, don't let Rufuz get too close if he's around again (your size might make him stay away from you;-) Excellent write!
