A cooling thought for folks in the American Southwest…

Hope you cool off, just don't send it to the northeast with highs now in the 80s and lows in the upper 50s, the summer is quite nice 'round here...

Poem Artwork

Just a picture to help you feel cooler,

Think of snow & ice & winters breath,

Close your eyes and dream of winters scene,

Rather than what’s happening now, a slow melting death…

The heat so hot an egg can on the sidewalk cook,

Sand blowing from lack of moisture,

Eyes itching, can’t see to look…

Sweat dripping, can’t drink enough,

Surely for now the temps are rough,

But think again of snow-topped peaks,

Feel the redness from cold wind-blown cheeks…

Just remember Ed, while you're shoveling snow, we'll be in our shorts enjoying temps in the 80s! But no white Christmas, just bouggying through the Sand Dune!

Oh, Thanks Ed!! I feel cool and better already! Now send us some breezes to move out the "orange-level" ozone we've been having, too; heavy breathing of the wrong kind :o)

I needed that! Summer's been a blisterer here. Can't say I cotton t'freezin', but if it is dry or silent snow slips in during the night and lays a blue and silver quilt, get no complaints from me. (Okay, you can always get complaints from me, but let's pretend for the moment that I am not a royal p.i.t.a.;)) Thankee, Ed! Yer a jool!!
