Conversing with an ocean wave...

Poem Artwork

Speaking to a coming and going wave,

Is what my psyche does desire & crave,

I can express that which I feel,

I don’t have to worry the wave will my thoughts steal…

In a storm my waves do angrily against the shore break,

But still they listen with compassionate intent,

As they realize they are there for my sake,

They do allow me to my God repent…

They don’t to other waves of my problems tell,

No other part of the ocean hears of my troubles,

From the great whales right down to the lowly shell,

For the most part what I speak of do,

From each wave, depart on salted bubbles…

YO JOISEY - WELL DONE!

Was down Ocean City MD last weekend enjoying HANNA - rained like hell for 2 days - waves and surf and undertow cut out sand of beach, so it looked like a vertical 3 foot WALL!

Sat out on a 3rd floor porch, SMOKIN' and doin' X-word puzzles and let the waves make all the noise, and do all the talkin' ...

Spent 6 hrs. in hospital yesterday getting more tests done - ALL OK ...

Peace, Fellow Patriot ... TomKat ...

Ed,

Come down to Texas, you can converse with Hurricane Ike's waves that are flinging high into the air 'round Galveston! LOL There are inland hurricane WARNINGS as close as three counties south of here - that's nuts!! Nothing as soothing as the sound of ocean waves, but do we want them this far north?!?? LOL A beautiful poem, haunting, keep talking to the waves -- and us. Do not give up. You are in my prayers.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

For me, too, the ocean...a sea...a lake...there's something so special about being close to the water. It's as though each wave washes away the pain inside...if even for a little while.
