A storm does brew, On the horizon a clue, Dark clouds & seas that are few, No storm perfect, each one though new… Tis’ not cowardice to from a storm run, Better to live this day, for another day to see the sun, This storm, if close in, maybe you should shun, Fighting Nature you can never say you won… Your boat and you safe ashore, You home in your bed where you comfortably snore, Best you don’t become for others a sailors lore, Home port is better than at sea having with Nature a war… © ed ~~~ 2/4/09

A Typhon with wind up to 150mph no lightning to show you if the rocks were near, pitch black and the ship imitating a full-screw roller coaster with 12.000 feet to the bottom of the sea and then on the pitch dark horizon a one eye angel of a lighthouse shining with the intervals that the chart says where it is. There's when you say "thanks brother" to the man handling the light for your well being.

Was once sailing alone and it started raining. With autopilot on decided to shower using natures fresh water. On deck all soapy and feeling good....then the rain stopped. There ya go, another of Mother Nature's trickery. Had to use my own water anyway, for I was all slippery.

Ahhh but for an old salt to stand in the rigging with the full wind and salt spray on your lips and the challenge of man against nature is a difficult challenge to paas up.

I'll say, Lance just wrote about sailing too...his wasn't so terrifying...Stay tucked in bed until that storm passes my friend then go and have great high tide....love and hugs, Bonnie

You drunk again? you're weaven friend, if you're smokin that rope, you can't pull the sail, stay away from the water, or whatever juice your floating on ha bless ya! I'm kiddin, I should talk, just had a great reefer my buddy brought, he said it was an incense stick you smoked, and I believed him of course, he's a friend after all.
