Tax Paying Blues...

I've never had to directly deal with the IRS before so I was a bit stressed...

Poem Artwork

I owe, I owe,

I woe, I woe,

Money I stow,

At an all time low…

With the IRS I dealt,

Could feel the electronic sting,

Across my butt of the belt,

It only left a 21 dollar welt…

Now I got four months to pay,

Giving me more time to play,

Now I can alive stay,

I was most worried, does it show, now okay…

Did you make it to one of the Tea Parties making the rounds? :o) I tried to pay the IRS with some bird, cat, and squirrel food, but they wouldn't accept that...LOL

Clever. Where is Robin Hood when you need him? And Marcus Welby too for that matter. Could fix you up in under 5o minutes. They take too much and line their pockets and I get huffy to no avail. I recall my favorite Janis Joplin song this time every year... Freedom's just another word for nuthin left to lose... Guess I'm not quite free yet. Happy trails (paper), J'nia

I agree with Rose I hate tax time and the tax man even if I know the rationality behind taxes.

Actually the $21.00 was just the interest & fines over the next four months of an extension on the actual amount...next time I get unemployment, I let them take out Federal taxes, live & learn...Ed

When you work, when you sign the form to claim how many deductions you want, claim ZERO. They'll take the most out, but you'll get it back when you file next year. Sorry to hear you're so stressed - it could have been much worse than $21.00. Ya know? You're in my prayers, Ed -

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
