Pine Barren Fall…

Poem Artwork

The needles brown all,

Know they do when its fall,

The pinecones empty of summer nut,

The squirrels stocked for winter, their homes cut…

All are readying for the cold,

Not even man ventures thus,

The winter winds drive away even the bold,

If not, one suffers & tries not to cuss…

Till the spring we all inside hide,

Till the snows & ice do eventually melt,

With heat & such we, all form of animal, do the winter abide,

We survive as such here above the cold climate belt…

Not much change in winter here. I really miss the difference so call me crazy. I loved reading about your seasonal change.
Also happy that you're back with us.

Yep, time to hunker down. Or you could invest in some snow shoes! I did once back in my skinny days, not sure how they'd work for me now. Patrick

WOW! HE'S BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK !!!

WELL DONE YOUNG MAN ...

HOW YOU MENDIN' - PRETTY GOOD, I HOPE!

I've been a tad busy - bought a pellet stove and installed and tested - LOVE IT!

Smallest one could find - does 1,500 sq.ft. - more than double trailer's size - heat blows you ou, even on lowest setting. Warm as toast this winter!

KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON, MY FRIEND! TK.

Very much enjoyed.
I'll make extra effort to observe the great surroundings on my scenic drive to work later.
I do pass lots of pine.
Best wishes.

Our dreams of summer will be stashed inside, for a while, in a coffer made of ice sprinkled with snow diamonds.
Now, are you fit for fight?...again?

Ed,

See? The words didn't leave you with the falling of the leaves ... LOL! Beautifully illustrated and versed, I nearly felt the chill winds. The fact that it's 34 degrees here currently certainly helps. LOL! Well done, seriously.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Wow - Bullwinkle really worked fast! But you don't have to hibernate 'til Spring, Bro. Get out there in those old Pine Barrens and traipse around; it'll do you a world of good.
