Poem Artwork

Sitting was I on a jetties rock,

Of myself I was taking stock,

When along came a humongous wave,

Took me it did to my final watery grave…

There was I given underwater sight,

Floating on the currents without a gripe,

Twas to me like being on winged flight,

Of every sea I thought I could see, or might…

There I did feel completely at home,

Fair as it did not seem to me to be, I still did roam,

Lair in a cave I did for myself make,

Furnished with sea shells just for the sake,

Share did I with fish & a sea borne snake…

There's something totally divine... divin-g... about underwater fantasies, Ed. They engulf the senses and are generally soothing, such as this... but not so as per Ed's comment about that disastrous slick. Heigh ho. What it is to have to wake up from the dream.... Does that snake of yours need some gas?! xx

I sure hope you have lots of sponges and paper towels, Bro; the horrendous, never ending, oil spill is already heading your way.

I think you been drinkin' that snake oil. I hope the property tax is affordable...but then I guess the assessor doesn't check too often. Patrick

A fascinating little tale, that somehow I was able to relate to, except for the snake. I also liked the picture...sort of mysterious.

Cheers,
Dan
