Poem Artwork

Spread out in front of me for miles untold,

Still she can be warm but more often quite cold,

Those that use of her are many, as well as of her abuse,

Sometimes they get away with it though they aren’t really being bold…

She does rear up and lash out every now and then,

Through all her years she has fought tooth & nail with men,

Many secrets she has in her deepest dens,

Pray for her always ending the prayer with a fervent amen…

I went there today to visit with her,

She doesn’t speak in words, per se,

But to anywhere else in the world,

There with her is where I, to be, prefer…
