Brine in me veins...

Salt water within me does flow,

From the Atlantic Ocean it does help me grow,

None of that fresh water from a lake,

Only pure salted sea does of this man make…

 

 

Love the sea for all my time,

It’s made many for me a rhyme,

Yes seawater does within me run fine,

Sometimes, yes I still call it brine…

Our blood is 95% seawater. Proof that we crawled out of the sea. Salt is essential, but dangerous, part of our necessary diet.

So, we drink pee, do we? How else would you know that your pee is salty? I know, you read it somewhere, just like me, and tasted it just to make sure.

Wow! Brine is used to preserve fish, to age big smelly cheeses, and for pickling meat. I always knew you were fishy and cheesy, Bro, but I never knew you were pickled, too. This explains a lot; thanks.

I am a land lubber, me. I wound up working for a living in the Gulf of Mexico for quite a few years. I liked it, Storms and all.
