Poem Artwork

Shells aplenty,

Of them I am a cognoscenti,

Pick them I do whenever I can,

All colors, all shapes, all kinds, afterall no ban…

Of my interest they do pique,

When children we of them did paint,

Some with residents do of course reek,

Those are back in the ocean thrown…

So much from the ocean is of beauty,

Shells, sand, seawater, & some of man’s booty,

Billions of shells do around the world exist,

All there for collectors, like me, to find,

Each time I am there of my hunt I do persist…

Never hunted seashells by the seashore. But they are truly beautiful, and, by the millions make up part of coral reefs filled with magic and wonder. Sounds like a great hobby for you.

Yes I love taking my grandkids for walks on our NS shores whenever I can and that is what we call the little tidbits of shells, stones and sea glass that we find.

There you go upsetting dear old Ma, again. She says you told her that you got rid of all those nasty little Cognoscenti critters you picked up swimmin in the ocean in the nude. Or were those Sand Fleas or Cooties, I can never remember.
