The Swirling Sea...

Poem Artwork

Does swirl around me,

Trying to all over me touch,

The sea does love me much,

As do I, of mom ocean, I enjoy her clutch...

 

She brought me into this world,

Of that moment I wish to herald,

The waves did around me curled,

As well around me they swirled...

 

To be from the sea,

I've learned to be free,

I speak to her on bended knee,

She is to life the key...

'BOUT TIME YEW 'FESSED UP' ... "She brought me into this world,"

NOT UNLIKE THE 'LUNGFISH' ... NOR THE 'SLIME' ...

YOU 'SLITHERED' UPON DRY LAND ...

AND NOW THINK EWE ARE 'SUBLIME' ...

I grew up beside the ocean in Newfoundland....I share your passion for the sea, Ed! There's nothing more soothing in life for me....

And it's a damned shame that we're strangling the life out of her these horrid days. Another humongous pile of plastic trash was just found out in the ocean along with numerous dead sea residents.

Yes, the sea is like that, always coming towards you, always for you, always neat to see and be around, you put words to this poem that are so desriptive of that sea, that it's hard to believe you live near it and i don't, i don't get there often enough either. But when i do i make the most of my time there.

"She is to life the key..." Agreed, for centuries she’s been a monumental food source, a travel method, she has offered entertainment, provided border boundaries and climate control, to name just a few of the essentials offered by the sea. Dick
