Sea Isle Sunrise...

Poem Artwork

Cold though it may be,

There is always a reason to go to the sea,

A sunrise to me is religious,

Totally it is prodigious…

The sun creeps up from its hiding position,

The moon sets in the west, its only option,

To avoid the warming rays of the it’s step brother,

The sun at sunrise is like no other…

Though the breeze off the sea is cold,

This action never does for me get old,

No matter how up in years I get,

No matter how much of me turns to mold,

This is where I wish to end my life,

In the comfort of Mother Nature’s arms,

Safe from all of man’s harms…

Beautiful! Have only seen the sunset on the West Coast. Once got up to see the sunrise at Hoa Inn and it was extremely foggy. I heard a lot of children laughing and screaming near the water but could see nothing. As I returned to the bungalow, I saw buses lined up. A local camp had brought kids to the beach to kill the silence of a beautiful sunrise.

I miss the sea. Your words are almost as good as being there.
