My Winters beach not far...

My beach not away too far,
My mother ocean just beyond,
A walk I take on the beach sand,
Mother ocean and I have a special bond…

The summer almost over, no more throngs,
Of tourists leaving trash & wearing thongs,
Granted there are some that look real sweet,
They can be to the eyes a tasty treat…

Still my love of my beach is with the winter,
On the boardwalk with shoes I get no splinter,
But trudging through the sand is better for me,
Especially if the sand is covered in snow,
While lapping at the edge of the snow, is my sea…

A fine tribute to your "winter beach," Ed. Everyone can use a special place. I am fortunate to live right within one. Love and peace,

I was wondering why that beach sand was so white. ;-) Thought for a moment I was in the Cayman Islands. In spite about what you said about bikini beauties that I adore as well, there's something about a lonely, seemingly secluded, beach in the off-season that is very attractive.

I love the beach during the winter. The designs made with the snow and sand by the wind are so cool! Total silence! Ya can't beat it!

Love ya!

I hope you get to take many winter walks along the beach, Bro - very good for the soul. I love winter walks along the lake shore.

Tastefully expressed poetic love for the beach. I love it year round. But my mom stayed in the panhandle in Destin, Florida one winter. It was colder than Colorado and that's great for some but not for my Mom.
