Went to the shore to relax,
Got to my beach, did not want to come back,
Missing were, thankfully, the screaming kids & crowds,
The only noise from gulls screeching loud…
MOM ocean said I was missed, of her on this I concurred,
I sat there for hours in her loving embrace,
She soothed & caressed my mind,
So much more stress-free than spending time in the human rat race…
I was born near the sea and spent at least a part of every at the beach. Sadly I don't see it much now - only once in the last decade. Just mud, mud and more mud here :-(

Nearly every summer of my life was spent along the east coast from Maine to Florida as my oldest brother was in the Navy and his family went where he did. Some of his kids settled in Warwick and Newport R.I.. I am so jealous of you salty dogs!!!
