I tried to be a good little Jersey Devil this year past...

Poem Artwork

Santa did miss me yet another time,
Was I such a bad little Jersey Devil this past year,
I surely didn’t think so but apparently he did,
Maybe for my presents he got a better bid…

Okay so a chimney I have not got,
And instead of cookies & milk I leave him pot,
Not getting visited year by year seems to be my lot,
You don’t suppose he’d have trouble putting in his sleigh,
The gift I did ask for in my letter to Santa, a motor yacht…?

Either way he has still not shown,
Karma says, even of Santa, he gets what he has sown,
So in the end he will get his payback & to God he will atone,
I just wish he would have, at least, dropped off to me a fancy new phone…

You get that motor yacht you'd be the target for every pirate along the coast. At least a phone you can turn off and hide.

I got some hot carrot cake, fresh from the oven… Does that make me Santa?

Keep wishing and hoping, and maybe someday, your ship will come in.

I think Santa may be getting dementia. I sing Santa Baby every Christmas Eve, and I have not gotten a sable, deed to a platinum mine, ring, or any of that stuff, ever.

Hang On, All Is Not Lost. Dear old Ma says she sent you a fabulous 'Soap On A Rope' for Christmas. But money's tight and she wanted to save a few bucks on postage so a guy heading to Atlantic City will drop it off at your place some time soon (before New Year's Day)if he doesn't lose his a.. in the casinos, and if he doesn't get lost!
