Not as cold tonight as it should be,
Not complaining, just musing,
The weather here this winter has been pretty warm,
No accumulating snow so far, only a lot of rain,
At least my car is staying clean, better for when I go out cruising…
Seems the almanac said it was going to be worse than winter last,
But so far for us in NJ not even a cold winters polar blast,
Again, complaining I am not, I could live without any snow,
Though I kind of did look forward to this winter being cold,
Sitting inside and reading all my new books including Thoreau…
Winter finally made an appearance here today and it is snowing. It's not supposed to last though. I did manage one ride on January the first. Love and peace,

You got a good one to read… Thoreau. As for winters… I found the past few years to become quite milder in spite of occasional fronts and the newly named, "polar vortexes." When asked this morning at 45° how cold it had gotten, I remember that January morning in 1989, I believe, when we had 7° here in Houston with rolling four hour blackouts. I nearly froze in my own house without heat. With gradual global warming, those kind of days are probably gone for a very long time.

Hearing a motor run across the street yesterday at our neighbors.
He was using his yard roller fastened to his lawn mower!! Well, Keegan is looking for that fluffy white stuff to use his new red sled!!....hoping for him.
