Was she,
Less mileage than me,
But I look better on the surface,
Knocked around, used in a circus,
I was born, she was purchased…
For her they are asking three grand,
Worth more I do think of myself,
On all four sneakers she still stands,
The interior a bit beat, then again so is mine,
She isn’t too bad for an old barn find…
You are getting very creative in your young age with this comparison poem. Each line created an interesting analogy as well as keeping the humor warm. Great job, poet!
Love the poem and the way you express your love for the old gal. The teacher in me wants you to change your title though... ...She was born the same year as I (was). Sorry about being a pain in the bz!. Love and peace,
Lady in red. Ah! and a fine cigar.
Barns have the finest treasures.
