Could be as well in the relationship category...

Poem Artwork

We love each other no end,
We are the very best of friends.

When feeling blue I go to her for solace,
Her waves are her arms, I walk through shoeless.

She reminds me of my childhood,
When I played with her & found driftwood.

She treats me as her young,
She greets me well, never with a sharp tongue.

I can feel her love permeate my body,
Nothing she gives to me is ever cheap or shoddy.

Our love is endless & will last forever,
And that love neither of us will ever sever.

the sea is our natural mother

It is interesting that while we are fetuses we are encased in a fluid very similar to seawater. We are creatures who initially were from the sea. Hence, our great affinity for the sea from that prenatal memory.

I, too, am attracted to the seashore. But, after a few hours there, I am tired of the noise and the wind and would much rather leave that rather busy, if often lifeless, for the quiet, shade and tranquility of a forest glade.

In that photo you look like an old woman… Actually, like my sister. You need to bare that chest like a real man. Unless of course, those are real boobs under that shirt. ;-)

I quite understand, Ed. You have your ocean, I have my swamp.

Where The Redwing Sings by Mr. Ed

A book of nature inspired poems and essays, written from the heart and soul of a life-long nature, animal, and wilderness lover, and dedicated to today’s children - Earth's only hope for a better tomorrow. This book won 'The Poetry Category'
