Poem Artwork

 The steady evening breeze

Crooning  sweet notes

In golden ears of corn

Swaying in rhythmic beat

Tinted pink  hues of setting sun

The sight and colours in the sky

Across the stretch, ripe fields glow

Pink and golden in a row

A glorious vision unfolds

The exotic fragrance of fresh dry air

O the natural scenes now on

As the wind whispers sweet nothings

Into the ears of  bowing  corns

A silent peck on the tender neck

Beautiful is this nature's show

Never to meet again the two  do part

Waving goodbye, the breeze moves on

The ears of corn now  lay in folds

In the maiden’s flowing robe she holds

Tearing off  from stalk to stalk

 In the backyard neatly stacked

much more than about corn. Also about how corn affects a maiden's life.

Unfortunately, also got me to thinking about GMO corn that India has rejected with good reason and America with its strong corporate lobbies and factory farms, has not addressed yet.

Another lovely work. I love all the waving, flowing, movement words. They paint such a nice picture.
