A wonderful moment

Poem Artwork

FROM MY FRONT PORCH

IT’S SIX IN THE MORNING

NIGHT’S SLOW GENTLE RETREAT

THE SUN’S RED SPHERE GLOWING

AS DARKNESS ADMITS DEFEAT

I SIT IN MY OLD CHAIR

AND WATCH NATURE PAINT

WITH FABULOUS FLAIR

DAWN’S BRILLIANT TAINT

THE MIST BURNS AWAY

IN THE VALLEY BELOW

DEW SPARKLES ON HAY

THE CAW OF A CROW

THE BREEZE COMES ALIVE

WITH THE INCOMING TIDE

TUMBLING WATER TIDAL BORE’S DRIVE

FRESH AND SALT WATER MEETING TO RIDE

THE EAGLES ON MORNING BREEZE SOAR

CIRCLING UP , UP AND AWAY

PIERCING EYES SEARCHING THE BOAR

FOR FROLICING SALMON AT PLAY

THIS STORY BOOK SCENE

UNFOLDS AT MY DOOR

THIS MOMENT SO SERENE

I COULD WISH FOR NO MORE…

I'm so glad to have found you here, my new north-of-the-border friend. It is a delight to read your good works.

Just how nice it is to get up early in the morning, I agree with what you wrote, Must be also nice to be near the ocean and see it too. I find it very relaxing only when I visit and cannot afford to live near it. But it is my thing. Nice poem too. My kind of writing and need it to survive my depression.

Beautiful! You must feel blessed surrounded by such scenes of nature and God's grace. Thanks for sharing this vision of loveliness with us poor urban souls.
