The Fall

My favourite time of year
Nature’s colours change
A sign that winters near
At home a time to arrange

Put away those things of summer
Store up your winters wood
Colder your bones are number
Warm wood heat so good

Time to plough the garden
Hunting time is near
Frost the ground will harden
A time for deer to fear

Farther back into the Trees
To hide from hunters gun
The Deer will hunters tease
As in the thickets run

The days are growing dim
The darkness comes with ease
Cold weathers setting in
Many start to sneeze.

I love the frosty morn
Sun sparkling on the lawn
Warmer clothes are worn
As you greet the dawn.
