Thank you for posting this, Karla. A reminder to help others is sometimes needed. I agree with Susan: Red Cross volunteers, along with rescue workers and firemen are very underestimated heroes, in my book, as well.
The red Croaa go as unspoken heroes in my book. I was a candy stripper in my immortal years. I saw many of the same people giving blood. Some repeaters would attest that if it weren't for them constantly giving then there wouldn't be much to go around. Sadly this goes unsaid for monetary contributions as well. Your hiaku is a much needed nudge to remember that the red cross has been there for all of us for over a century. Well done.
