Not enough is being said about the selfless cities and Americans opening their homes and hearts to the evacuees of Hurricane Katrina.

God bless you all for caring, and thank you for bringing a ray of hope amidst the ugliness.

Poem Artwork

compassion bobs on
the tide of humanity
approaching the coast -

sweeping survivors
out of sheer devestation
and into our homes -

embracing neighbors
without knowing who they are
as hearts are opened -

my faith is restored
seeing the good that came out
of the hurricane.

Amen and Amen, Karla! I KNEW this would be the response, even knowing the little that I do of you wonderful American people from my cyber-friendship with you all. But I can tell of your warmth and spirit of generosity and hospitality even down the sub-oceanic or satellite cabling which unites us and know that UNITED is what the States will be and further become as you stand square behind this onslaught. I salute you and BLESS YOU, Sweetheart, for saying what we ALL need to see and hear. MORE!! :)) LOL Kate xx
